Computers: Get a 9600pro?

I am asking u guys if it's worth to buy a new Radeon 9600pro 128 ram to repalce my 9000pro 64 card. My motherboard only supports AGP 4x. Or should i buy a new X300 card?

Last time I checked, the 9600 Pro had the best performance to price ratio out of the fast/well abled ones. However, I wouldn't replace a 9000 yet, or at least, not with a 9600, because it's not too much a change for the price you have to pay and all. I recommend you either wait for a Xxxx and buy the best you can afford, if you want to play the games of the future (TES4 XD~~~), or get one now, but if you have less than a Pentium @ 1.5 GHz or an Athlon less than 1500+, you should also consider a processor upgrade, especially now that Athlon64s will get cheaper. If you still want a new video card, the 9600 Pro is a good mid/high-end one (with an excellent price).

I dunno ... for example doom 3 had a really shitty performance on my computer something like 30 fps on 800x600 and i have an athlon xp 2400+.

IRT Mythbreaker(1): 30 fps in 800x600 is not bad at all, or maybe you mean less fps? In any case, I recommend you not to worry about Doom 3 or you'll end wasting a lot of money; Doom 3 is just another ID game which happens to require an insane amount of resources just for Yet Another First Person Shooter?; most if not all normal games should be working fine in your computer, so consider which games would you really need the update for, and divide the price you'll have to pay by the number of games... Then consider if it'd be worth paying x per game or not ^_^.
